Retro Range Run Down

Today Extreme Largeness have put their new range of Retro jewellery online. Premiering at London Edge last weekend, the bold and bright handmade acrylic jewellery pays homage to 80's gaming, comic graphics and Doctor Who. Here are some of my favourites.

I don't know anyone who isn't a fan of The Big Bang Theory and we all love Dr Sheldon Cooper's "practical jokes." Featuring his classic catchphrase BAZINGA! this necklace is literally a big bang. I love the primary colours and the big bold brightness of it, it's a true eye catcher and perfect for any BBT fan. Now available online for £9.

Tardis Necklaces

I've grown up with Dr Who from watching early episodes as a kid to the more recent Ecclestone/ Tennant/ Smith years. So when this little beauty came in I was very happy! The Tardis necklace is made from gorgeous mirrored blue acrylic. What really sets it off is the amazing engraved detail, with the iconic "police box" sign and even the tiny details on the door! All on a matching bright blue chain, it's now online for £7.50.

Pacman & Ghosts Necklace

This Pacman necklace is probably my favourite. I love the old school pixelated design and the little ghosts. The attention to detail is great, from the chain gap between Pacman and Pinky (yes the ghosts have names!) to ghosts and their real googly eyes! Pixel Picks

Super retro pixelated graphics are popping up everywhere at the moment. Inspired by 80's nostalgia and 8 bit games, we know party rockers LMFAO are fans and we have seen Space Invaders style pieces in Topshop recently in their Spring Summer range.

Extreme Largeness paid homage to this look last season with their Pixelated Heart Necklace last season which comes in small and extra extra large for the gangsta nerd look.

Extreme Largeness Varsity Patches

It's that time of year, January is a month of enthusiasm towards fitness and sport. Even if you don't actually participate, getting that gym membership and shopping for sweaters shows enthusiasm. Topshop's Say It Loud range combines comic inspired graphics with varsity slogans on sweats and oversized tee's. This style commonly associated with the high-school jock is paired with words like GEEK and DWEEB to create something tongue in cheek which looks great.

The Varsity Letter Patches from Extreme Largeness are great for creating this look and customising something plain. My grey hoodie is an old faithful, I wear it everyday. It has hair bleach on the hood and a hole in the sleeve, so it definitely needed some sprucing up. I ironed 2 of the patches onto the hoodie paying homage to varsity jackets and stitched around the edges to make it extra secure.
